Inspired by the loss of her friend and co-founder Daisy Coleman, Ella Fairon created Assk First in December of 2020, with a successful Kickstarter. Some of the products carry the name “Cat,” Daisy’s nickname, in her honor. 100% of the proceeds from sales support SafeBAE’s programming, allowing us to provide youth engagement programs entirely for free.
“I wanted to reach a demographic of people that still think this could never happen to them and still think that certain actions aren’t assault, but are. I don’t want anyone to go through what I went through. I never want to hear of another young person waking up and having their life completely different — not knowing who they are anymore.”
