Shaping the National Conversation with The Longest Shortest Time
“How to Not (Accidentally) Raise a Rapist”
The first episode of the relaunch of Hilary Frank’s parenting and culture podcast, reframing one of her most downloaded episodes (How to Not (Accidentally) Raise a Racist) to spark dialogue about raising young people who respect boundaries and safety. Featuring SafeBAE’s work and Executive Director Shael Norris, the episode explores what actually works when talking to teens about consent and how schools and parents can build a consent-conscious culture.
SafeBAE’s peer-led prevention model was also featured in Hilary Frank’s New York Times Opinion piece “Our Kids Cannot Learn About Sex Just From Squeamish Gym Teachers” and the accompanying podcast “The Most Important Lesson in Sex Ed Isn’t Actually Sex,” which highlight why students are the most effective messengers for prevention.
“Sexual Violence Prevention in Schools with SafeBAE”
Hosted by Freya Graf, this candid conversation explores building authentic, youth-driven prevention and meeting young people where they are. Featuring SafeBAE, the episode highlights how partnering with students creates systemic change in school environments and fosters cultures of consent.
Training & Education for Professionals
SafeBAE’s commitment to prevention extends beyond students. We regularly work with educators, legal advocates, service providers, parents, caregivers, and community leaders to share our youth-led model and equip adults with the tools to support survivors and embed prevention into everyday practice. Through keynote presentations, workshops, and national webinars, we provide concrete strategies for engaging youth as leaders, building consent-conscious environments, and sustaining systemic change.
